As I did mention I think that is down to the actual hide set up. As the old fella I go out with had a fair bit to do with the set up and they have got a book there so you can see what bird you are looking at for the beginners and most shots are my mates. So I think I will give him the points on the set up.

I must say Ralph, you've got that lighting as though it's in a studio! Well done and those colours really pop.

The other morning whilst still in bed I heard a thump and on ispection found a noisy miner lying next to the backdoor. Thought it was gone as it didn't move. When I picked it up however it gripped my fingers with painful force and it took a bit of doing to put him on the table. It sat there with its beak openening and closing and I didn't give it much of a chance. The third time I looked after about half an hour it was gone so it bodes well.
You got it posed very nicely and the light adds to the image as well. Good timing.

I like way the birds appear to have a spotlight on them, but are well exposed despite the darker background.

Noisy Miner and Red-Rumped Parrot
1 = A hated bird around these parts is the Noisy Miner
2 = Had to add another as I don't mind them
3 = Red Rumped Parrot ready to have a drink
4 = Looking up due to Red Wattlebirds and These Noisy Miners being about.Tags: None
