    This is one bird I'd want another opportunity to photograph. It is is just so striking.

      A beautiful bird, nicely posed, but unfortunately against the light. Have you tried brightening the shadows on the bird. Certainly worth trying for another opportunity.

        this looks to be a great pic of a pretty bird.
        as presented, it is overwealmed by the background.
        bright b/g probably caused bird to be underexposed.
        well worth some shadow lifting on the subject imho.

          Gotta agree with the comments on that bright background, the bird gets lost in the red flower. Beautiful bird BTW
