Unusual for the female of the species to have the bright colours. Are all these birds at your daily amble?

Thanks Hans. Yes the females are usually the less colourful of most species. The shelduck male and females are very similar with the female having the white ring around the eye and the white strip at the top of the beak.

Very nice Isac.

Fujifilm X-T5, XF10-24MM, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm and 120 film cameras.

Thanks David. It's not the best of shots, but I just liked the pose with the wings up and the colours.
