  • White Cheeked Honeyeater

    I don't see many of these little fellas much compared to the New Hollands but happy to see this one land on a grevillea as I walked past.
    These are the W.A. subspecies (Phylidonyris niger gouldi) which have a smaller patch compared to the closely related (Phylidonyris niger niger) subspecies which are found on the East Coast

    Nice shots Isac, I think the pose in #1 is the more interesting but #2 is a better view of the whole bird.

    Lovely shots of a Superbird. We have nothing vaguely similar in the UK...I must dig out my Oz bird book, bought in Nowra several years ago...

      Cheers Mark. You do have some very colourful birds in the UK including Wales. They probably have characteristics, colours, shapes and sizes appropriate for their very different environment to here in Oz.
