  • Aussie Magpies (2)

    G'day all

Camped recently under the trees in a regional RV park, this family of 8 - 10 Magpies were always to be seen
This fella attracted my attention as each time he paused, he would tuck one leg up into his underbelly

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

It looks like he knows you Phil. I would call those intimate portraits!

      G'day mate

Being where I was camped in a well used area, I presume that these birds are used to public being around them and that they are safe from attack ... so they meander close to our chairs - but not too close!
      Phil

Nice shots Phil, especially that 2nd one.

Nice shots Phil. Looks friendly, not like the Butcherbirds that were rather aggressively trying to steal my meal. I might post a photo.

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Nicely captured Phil. They are significantly differet to our own Magpies, That beak looks like it could do some serious damage.
