Looks like there's a slight halo around this Phil. Large crop perhaps?-----------------------------------------------------

Yep I noticed what looks like a sharpening halo too. but still a nice, well framed and exposed shot.

I love a good maggie shot Phil. I agree about the halo so I fixed with Photoshop but I don't know if you can do it in Elements.
Use the Clone Stamp Tool set to "Darken". Sample from the sky and draw over the halo and it will replace the bright halo with the sky colour you sampled from.

On a cropped shot as this and when I can do it those little twigs on the right side I try to get rid of them either in the crop part of with one of the tools which I can't remember the name of but it gets rid of them easily. But this is picking on the shot needlessly. You have still done a good job.I post what I photograph and what I post is how I like it.Comment
