  • Yellow Rumped Thornbill

I see these tiny birds a lot but they are very shy and super quick, so lucky to get anything worth looking at.

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Small birds are a nightmare, I generally aim for at least the next size up.

I don't get to snap them much: firstly, because they are so hard to see - they are only about 85mm tall and secondly, they're so quick.

Well caught Isaac and nicely spotlit by that patch of sun.

Thanks Alan. Not the best IQ but I'm happy to get a shot of these little fellas. It was running around on the grass under the trees and popped into a sunny patch just at the right time.

Beautiful shot. Love how the sun is almost shining a spotlight on it.

Cheers David. Right place right time I guess. Nice to get the "spotlight".

Getting low is the go - but then grass is grating - and why do they always have to turn away - grrr. Joys of bird photography
