King Parrot in the rain

Been a bit damp on the coast lately. King Parrot in a light shower today. Nikon D7000, Tamron 16-300 handheld through a window. I would have preferred a cleaner shot without the branch in front - but happy enough with it

Three lovely images Alan. Such a colourful bird makes the woodwork irrelevant. Love the three different poses.

Hi Alan - great series of images mate ... and I agree with Mick [and Ralph] the woodwork is in its place and does not degrade from the overall image

Excellent colour and detail Alan, with good poses and well controlled reds. Shame about the extra branch but it tends to blend with the perch, the bright colour of the bird draws your attention away, and there are no other distractions.

Fab colour on the bird and you exposure is excellent showing good detail. The branch is it's perch and looks great to me with the way the bird is gripping it tightly. Pretty easy to remove the 2 gnarly broken twigs at the bottom if you needed to. Great poses and all fabulous shots which show a few rain drops too.

Thanks Gents I thought the reds held up well and I couldn't be bothered spending any time on the branches. One shouldn't let wet weather prevent one from enjoying photographing the world around us.
