    Typical brolga behaviour, as you slowly walk towards them they slowly walk away, grrr.

    Fabulous shot and plenty of birds. I've always had a soft spot for red heads. Perhaps if you wore some camo gear and disguised yourself as a big clump of sand, you may be able to get closer?

      I headed out to the right about 50m but the river sand was too boggy and I was loosing ground. This was a stinker wet season day and I'd had it by the time I snared this frame. As it was I had an hour long walk back to camp. Happy with the shot but sometimes I question my sanity.

    Close enough for a group shot, certainly. Works well...;

    Nice group shot at least.

      More good looking birds! Maybe you could borrow a bigbird costume?
