  • Variegated Fairywrens

    I'm still trying to get better shots of these birds. All of these are a bit far away. I've been seeing them more often lately so perhaps next time. The bright blue head and dark breast make the males a difficult subject.

    Those are some stunning looking little birds. Excellent shots Alan.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF10-24MM, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm and 120 film cameras.

      Thanks David. They are beautiful - the blue on the head is incredible when lit by the sun.

    Wonderful work with such tiny birds Alan. Last one is special, getting the pose while seeming to say "Hello again Alan, look what I picked up today"

      Thanks Isac. I just need some close pics. The female did return with nest material a couple of times so I had several chances.
