  • Superb Blue Wren take off

Very average light, but I must have pressed the shutter at the right time

Timing is everything for these types of shots Alan, very well executed for a great action image. I had a play for fun and removed the rock in the background and threw in a light blue sky, which makes the bird pop as the main focus. Just me though

In a nutshell, I removed the out of focus rock by painting over it with the existing sky colour. Then I used the Sky Replacement tool to use the mask it creates to get the sky selected and then replaced the sky layer with the dual blue gradient. PSD file available if you want it.

Wonderful shot Alan. I love the translucent wing feathers.

Lovely! Looks like she is waving at you. i did think the white background needed something and definitely agree the blue looks better.
