  • Noisy Friarbird obtaining nesting material

    I thought this Friarbird was building a nest in the this tree as it kept leaving and returning to do something. Looking at the images it seems it was collecting silk from a chrysalis, presumably to use in building a nest elsewhere.

    Excellent shots Alan, especially #2.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF10-24MM, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm and 120 film cameras.

      No fruit that I can see Mark, I think it's a moth cocoon and the bird is stripping silk from it. Not good for the moth.
