Fabulous kestrel shot!. Next you'll have to practice with adjusting the shadows and lighting to make it pop. The gull is also a great action shot. For next time, try not to cut off any part of the bird and crop to give the bird positive space to fly in to. Here's what I mean.

Thanks. The gull shot was a fluke shot that I didn't realise I had until I loaded the images on the PC as they were coming in close range quickly, as I was leaving the area
A great shot of the Kestrel. It looks nice and sharp and I like the light shining through the feathers.
To expand on Isac's comments.
1. It feels very cramped and needs more space, so try a looser crop if it is a crop. The temptation is to crop closely to highlight the detail in the bird and this can work, but usually more space is better.
2. The backlight has left the bird too dark and It needs a bit of work brightening the shadows, with more on the darker head.
The gull could also do with a little brightening but I like it how it is - except for the lost wing-tip.
At first I thought there were halos around the birds but it does look more like hazy clouds in the background.
