  • Mango feast

The missus teased me with a photo of a couple of Rainbow Lorikeets munching on the mango tree at her work. So I got my gear and went over.
The sun was rather harsh and the wrong angle for optimal shooting conditions, but I managed to clean this one up enough to be respectable.

Lovely image Joe. Probably my favourite fruit. Had some yesterday - yum!

The best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question, but to post the wrong answer.

Smart bird. Pictures look better when it looks like a story or is that just me?

Trying to tell a story in a photo is something that I've always struggled to get my head around. A lot of tutorial videos on YouTube talk about the "tell a story" but I can't figure it out lol

I think of it more like the image invites questions. You make up a story with your answers.

The first thing that jumped into my mind was the huge mango trees next to every farmhouse in Cuba. Next was It would have been nice to see a little more of the bird. Then there is a lot of green , green poles? etc. Not positive or negative just flashes of mostly immaterial thought. But sometimes you wind up with an emotional feel about the image and has a story to it.
