  • Sandhill Cranes

Pair of Sandhill Cranes at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. These birds are extremely rare around here but this pair seems to decided to call the refuge home.

You must be happy to catch a rare sighting David. They don't look familiar to me.

      Very nice David.

Looks very similar to our Sarus Cranes and Brolgas, with the red colour in a different place.

They have probably relocated to a safer and more friendly environment David. Lucky you to get a sighting of not often seen birds and also to get some great photos! Good on 'ya mate!
