  • Noisy Miner attacks

I noticed a some Noisy Miners harassing a Kookaburra so grabbed the camera and fired off a sequence. I was quite surprised at what happened next.

The Kookaburra closed its nictitating membrane as the miner approached.

    Not the best quality though.

Great capture. Looks like the Kookaburra was not the subject of the noisy miner.

I don't know what was going on. The Kookaburra certainly thought they were after it.

Fabulous birdie action Alan. I saw my first Kookaburra this year. I hear them but the trees are enormous which makes them hard to see.

Thanks Isac. I see them quite often here.

Fantastic series Alan. The other miner is not thrilled about being the subject of the other's attention now.

Thanks David. They do have their noisy little squabbles but this seemed a bit unusual.
