  • Finally - some action shots of the Lorikeets

    I had to go to the lounge window or backdoor as the kitchen window was too close and I kept cutting off wingtips.

    Still a bit noise and the wings are usually outside the depth of field. I've been trying to use high shutter speeds to freeze the wings and stop down for depth of field, but this pushes ISO up.

    All brilliant Alan. They have great bright colours when they spread their wings. #3 is my pick, great background separation. #4 for all those under wing colours.

    I am gobsmacked by how wonderful these images actually are ... colours + action + sharpness ... = 12/10 at the minimum

    Stunning birds and great series Alan.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF10-24MM, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm and 120 film cameras.
