  • Birds from Bald Rock NP - part 1

The overcast made for soft lighting but it was quite dim at times.

    1. A damp Pied Currawong giving me the evil eye.

    2. White-browed Scrubwren. A group of these bold little birds would move through the campsite several times each day.

    5. Superb Lyrebird. Annoyingly the bird stayed in the shade with the sunlit area behind so very difficult to rescue. Still fiddling with it occasionally.

3 and 4 pop a little more for me.
Shame the Lyrebird shadows, better luck next time to make it shine

The Lyrebird is one of my birds of intrest to capture, but sadly I'll have to wait until my next trip down Brissy way in July if I have time to get out and explore

They can be hard to find. I've seen the Albert's Lyrebird in Lamington NP, and Superb in Barrington Tops but never a photo worth keeping.

Hence, the aim for me to target them, due to their reclusiveness, adds to the challenge #twitcher
