  • Driftwood

Black & white treatment given to various pieces of driftwood found on Somers Beach.
I'm not too sure how I feel about these images, I was trying to capture the bleached and gnarly effect of dried out timber.
    C & C most welcome

    G'day GJ

Yep ... I've also always struggled with getting a half-decent pic of driftwood or fallen / dead forest timbers. Your #5 shows it best to my interpretation ... showing the whole stick with its bends and lumps

What do others think / fight with??

#2 and #5 are my pics John. Great textures and contrast which show good detail. Were these NIK jobs or just various methods in PS?

Thanks John. Every time I use SE_Pro I end up playing with the sliders to make weird adjustments and it's very time consuming. I had lots of saved presets but never used them again - each image had a different outcome, so they got binned.

I played around with the presets on a couple of them. I never bother to save any of the adjustments I make, wouldn't know what to call them anyway.

I don't save them any more either. I used to name them whatever NIK called them and added ISAC to it.
    Working...
