  • Hill End architecture

We visited the charming little village of Hill End while in NSW. Unfortunately it was drizzling rain all day, so it was a case of get out, get the shot and get back in the car before getting too wet - not much time taken to compose.

Agree with Greg, these are fabulous old buildings and photographed to a very high standard. I like that you didn't let the fence encroach onto the building in #3. My favourite is #4. Very picturesque setting and the PP is great too. Good post, thanks for sharing.

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Theres some history in those shots. Well done PP.
I'm with Isac, #4 is my favourite.
Its a shame they put that modern looking sign in front of the church in #2.
        Cheers, Brad.

I'm a lover of this type of photography as well P Plate s and I do agree with Ironwood about that sign in #2. I hope you don't mind, but while everyone was asleep, I jumped the fence and dug it up, then erected it a bit further to the right in the yard just outside of the frame. If you're not OK with the edit, please let me know.

Thanks everyone. One fine day would like to revisit and spend more time in this area. We didn't get very good weather this time.

Isac - I don't mind at all. I actually got rid of a green power box thingy, a notice board and a telephone box from #4. The telephone box took a while as it was on the verandah next to the wall. Not perfect but good practice. Think by the time I got to this church I was just feeling way too lazy to get rid of anything.
