  • Emirates A380 - United for Wildlife

I was taking photos of this fiery sky a few days ago and the A380 came into view. I snapped a few and noticed later that it was one of 2 United for Wildlife planes.
The first one departed Dubai for London on 2nd November 2016 and the second went to Mauritius on 5th November 2016. The artwork is fabulous and here it is being applied. EMIRATES A380

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Great shot, Isac. Looks like you were flying alongside it. Or maybe on top of a mountain?

    Cheers, Gary

Cheers Gary, thanks for that. I used my Tamron 18-400 at full zoom. This is out of camera shot and I also got some nice pics at wider angles which had power lines, trees, rooftops etc. Not ideal but that sky had super fiery colours. The plane is pretty low on it's descent to Perth Airport only 8km away.

Thanks Greg. I doubt if I'll ever get to see that again, so it's in the vault. I may get to capture the plane though from the Perth viewing platform, where we get an uninterrupted view of planes landing and taking off. It's pretty close to the runway.

Great capture Isac, and brilliant colour too. IMHO 90% of a good capture is being in the right place at the right time, and recognising that there is a potential winner there.

Thanks for that John. Definitely in the right place at the right time - thanks to the cockies, as it was the noise of them on the power lines that brought me outside in the first place. Glad they did.
Working...
