  • Established 1874- the old Fire Station

    G'day all

The small town of Beaufort in central Victoria, established in the gold rush days of the 1850s had obviously grown sufficiently to have its own Fire Station 20-or so yrs later. Nowadays it's a museum

    As always, feedback welcome

Looks great. Must have been crowded in there with a horse and cart and gear.

Another interesting old building with wonderful colour and textures. I suspect a little more processing would bring out the colour a bit more. The lighter blue fringing on the clouds looks a bit odd - blown out clouds I guess.

Fabulous old building Phil and well photographed. Good textures as Alan has said. It puzzles me why there would be a Fire Alarm on the Fire Station building. I suppose if it was on fire you could set of the alarm and wait for the fire services to arrive. Just me but I would adjust the verticals and horizontals. Only feedback I have

Not seeing much difference Phil. Did you change something?

This is what I mean Phil. Adjust the major lines both horizontal and vertical. I took the liberty of cleaning up a bit by removing a few distractions which is basically irrelevant to this discussion.
I do apologise for being a bit picky with lines. It's something I notice straight away and it does put me off a bit. It sometimes doesn't get me any "likes".
