Just for you Ozzie_Traveller, however he's not in Swanston Street any more, he's been moved to the Block Arcade.

You wouldn't know the place now Phil. There are still some of the old places, but so much is changing, and rapidly. You might see a scene you like and think "next time I'm in the city I'll get a shot of that", you go back in 6 months and the building has been torn down, or one is being built in front of it.

+1 here too
Gee GJ ... it has changed a hellovalot since I left there back in 1970

Thanks Alan, I think that is the standout image of the days shoot. However I really like the image of he girl with the blue hair waiting in line outside the Bluebag restaurant, a coincidence perhaps only a photographer would notice.

An impressive collection John with lots of interest. I love the leading lines, colour and contrasting curves and straight lines in #3 of the second post. An outstanding image.

A few more.
#1 Rodda Lane
#2 Captain Melville's at the top of the city in Franklin Street. A touch of the old Melbourne jammed in amongst the new.

In Melbourne Today
A few images from my visit to the CBD today.
#1 Bourke Street busker. This guy wasn't too bad, he was playing Steve Vai/Joe Satriani type stuff and doing it well.
#2 A line outside a restaurant on Collins Street. The establishment's name and the girls' hair had something in common.
#3 Dogman
#4 A 21st century steed at an early 20th century watering trough.
#5 Cow up a tree
