  • Downtown Milford at Night

First attempt at night photography in a long time in downtown Milford. Quite happy with these overall. The 5 stop IBIS in the X-T5 made handholding with the 23mm lens possible.

    Hi David

An excellent set of images --- I also like after-dark city pix, and these appeal to me !!
You mention 'first-time...' so may I make a suggestion--when I shoot after-dark city pix, to avoid blown hi-lights, I set the EV+/- to minus 2/3, so that the blacks remain black. Metering set-point varies as to subject, but the minus 2/3EV is constant

ps- I do the same for stage photography in the theatre too

Thanks Phil. I think for most of those I was about -1 to -2 EV on exposure composition.

Great series David. I think your exposures have worked well. Good points by Phil too.

Very nice David. I like the way you have used light and shadow in these. Excellent colour too.
