  • Early light on beach sand

Up at 4am this morning to see what was happening light wise at one of my favourite beaches just out of town, made it in time for the sunrise but that was a non event. The colours slowly showed themselves in the early morning though so it was a worthwhile trip.

And yes, the beach has a slope

        G'day Mick

Yeah mate - that's the beach ... Humm
What would it look like if you popped the saturation by +20% ??

Doesn't quite work for me Mick. There's pattern there and some colour but I'm really searching for a focal point.

i'm not a big fan of bumping up saturation Phil, prefer to work with what the camera captures, just a personal thing. This image probably has limited appeal and it ain't no wall hanger but i still like it as is.

In hindsight a lower angle and wider lens may have been a better option to show the vastness. This scene went on for miles and miles uninterrupted.

Thanks for the feedback, always appreciated.

Fair call Greg, appreciate the honesty. This might be one of those 'you had to be there ' images lol. I love the local beaches and this image works for me as a reminder of time well spent walking along them soaking it all in.

I like it, the repetition and shape of the shadows works for me.
