    I think this thread was missed. All middle of the day shots. Had hoped they would convey the heat and dry conditions out there.

      We all know that you're not supposed to take photo's in the middle of the day. However, for what you're trying to achieve that is the only time to take them. The Australian outback is an extremely harsh environment and that is apparent in these images.

    Middle of the day is ok by me. It's not as if the world stops at that time and if we're truthful in capturing reality, then we just need to get better at coping with the conditions.

    Your shots tell a story Toddy, it's not all about soft light. Harsh conditions can be difficult to show and you've done that well.

        It certainly looks dry and hot.. The out of focus bridge rail ( or whatever it is) could be cropped out. I agree that these shots are fine in the middle of the day.
