  • Windmill B&W

Wasn't sure it worked in colour and not sure it works in B&W but thought worth a try.

I think it requires more drama. The death of a windmill. More contrast and a different viewpoint. I think you have a quality record but have missed the "art"
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

I think that you've summed it up pretty well Hans. Maybe from a higher elevation, or a drone.

I agree it needs a bit of contrast. It gets a bit lost with the shades being similar. Maybe just highlight the windmill and use a strong vignette to mask the surroundings. Only my take on it, others may have a different spin on it.

Ah, poor windmill, I knew it well.

Yeah not sure as I didn't want to lose the cows in the background.

What does the original image look like. Could you have done some selective colouring and just given the windmill the B/W treatment?

It's a shame really, that the rusty colour of the windmill frame and some of the blades blends in to the soil colour Todd, it makes it difficult to separate without a huge amount of work. It'll give you something to do during the festive season

Yeah it's probably the lack of contrast that makes this less appealing that I thought it could be at the time.
As for something to do, don't worry I've got plenty and none will be in front of a computer screen.
