  • Stormy Waves at Cape Henlopen

    Some rough waves generated by a coastal storm at Cape Henlopen. Swells were about 1.2 - 2.1m.

    Great subject and well displayed in the B&W format. They look almost like high key images, well done. I did similar shots in our south west but I won't hijack your thread.

          Not much different from the monos to be honest. It was an extremely gray day.

        Been a few years since I braved that body surfing but find those waves unusual. Must be some rocks there I imagine. Nicely captured David.
        Better a full bottle in front of me
        than a full frontal lobotomy.

          The shoreline has a pretty gentle slope until you get out about 10-20m or so before there is about a meter drop off. Probably enough to cause them to break early.
