  • Something a bit different

All taken before sunrise and treated rather differently.

    What do you think? Really!

    Hi Alan

Between #1 & #3 I prefer the increased contrast with #1 - maybe #3 might come up stronger with a saturation boost to give the sky a bit more colour
#2 is certainly dominant, but the orange tank now takes my vision away from the trees + roadway. If it were mine, I'd zap the orange water tank and see how it looks

Thanks Phil, very helpful. The light was changing rapidly as sunrise approached. I think #3 is better a little darker which brings out more colour in the sky. The water tank and the tees was initially the feature, but the tank does clash with the scene so I'll try removing it.

#3 for me but I would have a look how the tank looked green. Like the one next to it. Also select the sky with colour range and the + dropper and ctrl j for a new layer of just the sky to allow you to play with it and get it just the way you imagined/saw it.

Thanks for your feedback Hans, I have a number of masks I'm using to make adjustments. I've made a few changes since I posted this. I'll look at changing the colour of the tank.

I Like them all Alan. Lovely colours and a great subject. The red tank is a good focal point and good contrast to its surroundings.

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

Thanks Isac. It was the tank as a feature that inspired the shots, but, for me, it now seems to clash with the attractive trees, so I'm a bit torn on whether to keep it or not.

I'll post my final versions soon.
