  • Central Qld Mountains

Just a few of the former volcanic mountains up here in Central Qld. This was from my first outing with my new 5D, giving it a test run with the 24-105mm lens playing with settings etc.
The editing was done in Affinity Photo2, which I'm still a noob at using to edit photos, so they may come across as a bit "rich" in the editing. But this is all part of the learning curve of a new hobby.

Good colour in #1 and #3, Joey, in what looks like morning or afternoon light that helps bring out colour and texture. The mountains in #2 have a blue tone due, I think, to being more shaded from direct sun, and also distance.

#3 also seems to have a bit of a tilt which is easily corrected.

Thanks, still learning a lot about the editing side of things. The twin mountain picture was a fair distance away and was taken at 105mm zoom, hence the bit of distance haze.
Yeah, I , missed fixing the tilt on 3 when I converted it from RAW.

I went mountain climbing today up the #2 mountain, soI have a ton more photos to spend tomorrow editing

Interesting- I am not seeing any images.

The first few edits from today's hike up the mountain..

The late afternoon sunset on Mt Pollux (the larger one) and the smaller, unnamed one that I climbed today

I was greeted by this lovely pastal sunset on the 4Km walk back to the car

Another angle of the above Fletcher's Awl peak. This was taken at 250mm from the top of the peak I was on

I setup the tripod and took a series of portrait shots and stitched them together using the panao feature in Affinity Photo.

This is another 250mm photo of Wolfang Peak in the distance.
