Gelli Aur in Welsh, Golden Grove for the rest of us. A stately pile, grade 2. In pleasant decay, though there is a group trying to look after it...

In Britain, we let these things go to ruin, in France it would be refurbished and looked after...

Shame to see these old buildings left to decay.

        Hi Mark

Another beaut "image of the old country" for us to enjoy
and -yes- it's often sad to see such buildings being allowed to go to rack-n-ruin via neglect

It's a grand old building and you've captured that in your great photo. It's a shame that some countries work under the DILLIGAF system. France has obviously adopted the IFWAC system.

I just fired myself from cleaning my house.
I don't like my attitude and I caught myself drinking on the job.

The first one is universal and explained by a friend of mine (I used to play guitar and sing in his band back in Kalgoorlie before he became famous - his name is Dennis Bryant) Adults Only https://youtu.be/7a6EOyaMdqY
The second means "In France We All Care)
