  • Back when we were Young- Pictures from School

I hit 65 this year, meaning I've been taking pictures for 60 years now. First 35mm camera was a Summer of mowing lawns in 1969.

I note a number of members here that seem "around this age"..

I thought it would be fun to post pictures taken when we were in school.

These are from the 1970s. "George Mason Day", an officially hosted party day. Drinking age was 18. How did we survive past 25?

This last shot- a 9 year old Daughter of one of the students. I taught her how to use the Nikon F2a with 24/2.8. She took a few good shots, I have the negatives.

All shots with a Nikon F Photomic "Bullseye", Panatomic-X developed in Microdol. I still have the negatives and notes. And the camera.

Good memories and good photos there Brian. I don't have any photos taken at school except for the official class photos stashed away somewhere. I started taking photos at about 14 with my parents box brownie but didn't get a proper camera until a few years later, so about 60 years of taking photos for me also.

Great memories for you Brian. All photos I had and took (100's) were lost in a fire when I was 20. Life goes on.
