Nice portrait. I mostly see the black cormorants with their wings spread to dry but can't remember ever seeing a Pied Cormorant like that. Maybe there is something in their feathers which doesn't make it necessary.

Thanks, they do it too and I have posted shots before with their wings out to dry.

This fellow was just getting ready to leave so I considered myself lucky that it came out as well as it did.
