Butterfly Sanctuary

Hey lovely people.
During the school holidays Eve and I choofed on up to Kuranda to the Butterfly Sanctuary and Birdworld (again). Awesome places if you ever come up this way.

I lived in Cairns for a few years in the '80s, its a great part of the world.

Thanks everyone .. it's a great place, we just love it. Eve was like "mum is there a butterfly on my hat" just about every minute .. "no Eve" .. but there were times when there were. The Birdwings are hard to photograph as they flutter a lot faster than other butterflies I think lol ... but yeh glad I had my money shot a few years ago with the Birdwings outside our previous house so don't need to try for another. It was challenging but I am grateful for the shots where they landed and I could take some time to compose and so on. I don't like to be rushed !!
