Saw this one perched on a submerged branch out in the creek and managed a few shots with the 500mm lens. Heavy crops but they look ok to me.

    Nikon D800 and Nikon %00mm PF f/5.6

Beautiful shots. Those colors are quite striking.
    Fujifilm X-T5, XF16-80 f/4, XF70-300 f/4-5.6, XF23 f/2, XF35 f/2, XF150-600 f/5.6-8, and a random assortment of 35mm film cameras.

Thanks David. If it hadn't been for the colours I wouldn't have tried for a shot from so far away.

You've done well Alan, two great images there. I have yet to manage any sort of a decent image of a dragonfly.

Thanks John. I was lucky this one stayed put for quite a while so I got a few shots.

It appears to be Pseudragrion aureofons, Gold-fronted river damsel. There are sighting records close to where I saw it and the colour seems to match.

Great shots. Most of my attempts result in pretty coloured streaks as they disappear into the distance

Thanks. This one waited patiently for me to take a few shots and returned to the same perch a few times .
