Did you crop the wing on the right or just miss it in the shot? I'm just curious. Easy PS fix though. Another great shot though. I've never seen a red one before so TFS.

Got to admit I stuffed the framing up,wearing glasses means I can`t get as close to the viewfinder as I used to before my eyes buggered up,also the terrain where I take most of my macro is extremely hostile to stable footing.

In your particular circumstances, you are forgiven Kevin

    G'day Kevin

A delightful image for me to enjoy - great colour - beaut sharpness ... not bothered by a tiny bit of wing missing (tho the judges would !!)

Glad you like it Phil,I`m loving the colder weather,it slows the little critters down a bit and makes them more approachable.

Such vibrant colours here - love it.

I've not seen a red dragonfly before. I decided to look it up to see what it is called, looks to be a Diplacodes haematodes, Scarlet Percher , male (https://www.brisbaneinsects.com/bris...s/Gallery2.htm)

Very bright red Kevin. Almost like a fire engine red. Nice capture.

You have to marvel at nature. The mind boggles at what will be dicovered as they find other worlds. This one is providing a never ending source of great images. Well done Kev.
Are you prepared for this when you go for your walks? I mean you walk about with the macro lens and flash attached to the camera?

I go on dedicated macro walks,my back doesn`t let me carry to much kit. When I save up the pennies for a Black Rapid dual strap I`m hoping to be able to carry 2 sets of kit.
