Flash brings it to life Glen. Very "in your face" and very hairy!

Spectacular image Glen, nice and sharp with lots of detail. I was expecting to see a different type of spider commonly known as a Golden Orb-weaver, but I can see why you chose this title.

Alan, I chose that title because I was told that's what it was
I have misplaced my go to 'wildlife of greater Brisbane' book so I asked my neighbour and that's what she told me it was.
Looking it up now it seems that it's a garden orb weaver, maybe I misheard her tho'
        Thanks for the correction.

Yes, it's a Garden Orb-weaver of some type. The Golden Orb-weavers are slimmer with longer legs and have gold coloured webs that are very strong and sticky. I still think it's an appropriate title.

What Alan said, wrong name but great shot, the hairy ones are so good for flash, no shiny reflections.
