  • Eta Aquariids meteorite cluster

    G'day all

    My star-trails attempt to catch a glimpse of these elusive meteorites. A stacked combo of 300 images of 1/2-minute each

    exif- Panny FZ-2500; 150 minutes x F2,8; ISO-800; lens at 1x zoom / 24mm FFequiv

    As always, feedback welcome
    Phil

    Very nice Phil. Is that a meteor left of centre above the trees, but there are similar streaks in another direction - or is that an effect of the two and a half hour elapsed time.

      Hi Alan ... there are 1/2-dozen meteorite streaks shown and I do not know why some are at right-angles to the others
      @Hans ... No mate--I'm not that daft ...
      exposure is "M" mode + 30s + F2,8 + ISO-1600 + MF + continuous mode + coffee or wine + comfortable seating and warmth inside the vehicle waiting for the battery to go flat 300 +/- exposures later

    Hope that wasn't you sitting there with a cable release for 300 images. That would be above and beyond!
