  • The Great Petition.

    Not the first time I've posted these, but I've processed them slightly differently.
    Thanks to Barkly for previous comments which I took on board.

    This is cool, im guessing it was done one of two ways.

    - Two exposures: On in focus, one way out of focus and then blended in PS?

    - Blur in PS?

      I agree, cool processing. It is an interesting subject that lends itself to a different style of processing.

        Haha, the first option would be easy for me. Blur the pics, but no I didn't think of that one.

        I used the 2nd option. I duped the layer, used magic extractor to select only the sculpture.
        The Gaussian blurred the original layer.

        It's not perfect, but I did like the effect.

        There was too much distraction in the background, so it was an easy decision to blur it out.
        And I cropped it tight enough to remove some of the street signs.
