My holiday snaps for Isac. Taken with a Sony phone
#6 has had nothing done to it not sharpened either but I think zooming in affected the quality a fair amount.

Well thank you kind Sir! Does a pretty cool job for a phone. It's quite remarkable that you can get images like this from such a small camera. Things have come a long way in a very short time.

Sony has some leading sensor technology. Their cameras are very popular in Japan. You can see the writing on the wall for full frame DSLRs when you will be able to to get a 50megapixel image from a sensor half it's size.

Agree Hans. I think DSLR's are going to have a limited life.

That made me laugh out loud.

We are off on another jaunt shortly and it has me thinking will I take the magnificent canon 70-200 glass or save my poor back. It may get taken this trip as we will be in a hire car or on a cruise ship but I don't think it will make the next one where we will be on a lot of busses etc. Bring on a half frame with the quality of of say a 10 year old full frame. How long?

My reply to Isac disappeared. But it was along the lines of buying my wife a Panasonic Lumix tz70 but she still orders me to take a photograph and I have to carry that as well. Not easy being a wonderful husband!

Cheers Hans, I can see you're a wonderful husband and I know it takes it's toll keeping it up for so long!

Weight is the main consideration. I have only been pu-(1)lled up once for being to heavy. This was in South America. I took out the camera and the computer weighed it again it was just over and they were happy. I then put -(2) the computer and camera back in the bag. But the bag weighs 9kg and should only weigh 6. Nearly 2kg more I think if I take the 70-200. I am glad I get such good results from the 18-250 Sigma.

Lumix FZ 300 is a very convenient travel camera.

The Lumix TZ70 has taken some good pictures but not in the same class as the EOS 60D
