  • Offroad Buggy Racing

Today, I got to do the photography for the Mickey Thompson ARB Off-Road Racing Championship.
Apart from dealing with the huge dust problems, everything else was great in the conditions.

Just love the action shots so much.
Great job on the complete set of shot you have done so well to me.
I post what I photograph and what I post is how I like it.

Thanks, dust was a massive issue, luckily in editing I was able to reduce it

      Hi Joey

A huge -wow- factor here mate - and you seem to have cracked a good set of keepers here
      Well done

Thanks Phil. The event manager from the AORRA has messaged me to request the photos of the top place holders for the different classes for a news article, so my handy work will be seen there

You should be pretty happy with these Joe

Thanks, I'm stoked they turned out so clear and everything only require a little adjustment of the ure/brightness/touch of vibrancy and a ton of sharpness to clear the dust, so minimal editing to clean up the cream of the 1k+ photos that I took for the day

Great action shots there Joe. I suspect some competitors would be very interested in buying some action shots of their vehicles.

My son does that for Dressage events and makes good pocket money. You would need to organise it with the club ahead of time and there is the issue of insurance and such.

Yeah I had to register with the AORRA before hand as an authorised media to be able to shoot there.
The organiser guy shared the local photography Facebook page that I posted all of the touched up pictures I did last night today, and my Facebook notifications are blowing up with all the team members liking all the photos. I recognise some of the names from the stickers on the buggies.
The guy I the shoot with has a couple of photo printers, so it's certainly something we can offer to sell the teams their pick of the picts for a small fee to cover printing and postage.

My son just sells the digital files and seems to sell quite a few.. Just depends whether you are doing it for fun or a little extra cash.

Ok cool. Future events, I want to take the time to walk the pits and do crew photos, and have a chat to offer that type of thing
    Working...
