  • 2026 Yamaha Jet Trek

I was out at Lambert's Lookout today hoping to get some more of my Nankeen Kestrel photos, but instead I was greeted with a flurry of jetfleas on the water.
Not to let a good photo op go to waste, I started snapping away.
It turns out that it was the 2026 Yamaha Jet Trek Townsville to Mackay charity event. Around 100 riders entered the event. That's a LOT of sore bums and legs for an ocean ride that long, my legs get a hell of a workout just riding one for an hour at a time lol.

If I had known of the event, I would have climbed down on the rocks at the base of the cliff to get a better vantage point.

Great work on these Joe. Good action shots. Not sure why you would elect to use a square format for action shots. Much better to use landscape and give space for the riders to head into. Sample here:

The best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question, but to post the wrong answer.

All you need to do now is place the subject so it has room to move into the space like the last one.

Excellent collection Joe and great action. It's a shame you didn't know in advance as they would have been fantastic from a lower view point.
