  • Time - Rone

Treated myself to a visit to the latest Rone installation for my birthday yesterday.
Here are a few images. More to follow.

A teaser for what's to come, located on Flinders street it is free to enter and view.
    Model: Canon EOS R6
    Exposure Time: 1/80 sec
    F Number: f/8
    ISO Speed Ratings: ISO 8000
    Exposure Program: Aperture priority
    Metering Mode: Multi-segment
    Exposure Bias: 0 EV
    Focal Length: 16 mm
    35mm Equivalent: 16 mm
Lens Model: RF 16mm F2.8 STM
Desaturated to -35 to give the '50's feel.

    My favourite room, The Library.
    Model: Canon EOS R6
    Exposure Time: 1/20 sec
    F Number: f/8
    ISO Speed Ratings: ISO 2000
    Exposure Program: Manual
    Metering Mode: Multi-segment
    Exposure Bias: 0 EV
    Focal Length: 16 mm
    35mm Equivalent: 16 mm
Lens Model: RF 16mm F2.8 STM
I deliberately set the exposure to give preference to the face and slightly open door and to add a bit of mystery as to what's in the shadows. Sorry Isac

He certainly does good job with these installations. I think we are booked for some time early in January.
    Nice shots.

    BTW.
This does not make sense. Image 3.

    Focal Length: 24 mm
    35mm Equivalent: 16 mm

The R6 is FF so why the equivalent and if the R6 was APS-C the numbers would be the wrong way around 24 APS-C is 36 FF not 16.

Oops, my bad, forgot to edit the copied and pasted EXIF data. All fixed now.

This installation is not as detailed as Burnham Beeches. He/they were expecting high traffic flow through the installation because of the central location and so there is not as much "rubbish/leaves/twigs" scattered on the floor.

Amazing photos of various scenes. Love the library with books and papers strewn everywhere. I might have enjoyed setting up that scene..:-)

          G'day GJ

I don't know anything about this fella / artist so it's all new to me ... and I like what you have shown us

The final image - cobwebs over an old phone etc, is of additional interest to me.

From my engineering days + my father's involvement during the '50s to the '70s with Australian industry, I know about the PMG telephone techs who created this push-button phone back in the late '50s, and the bosses and the political masters who decreed 'there was no need for a memory + push-button phone, the dial was good enough and anyway, that was what the Teledex was for

The PMG techs who invented / created the device flew to the US and sold the technology to Bell Telephone, who refined it further into the push-button keypad plus memory numbers ... and the rest is history as they on-sold the concept around the world to other phone companies

          Phil

Interesting fact regarding the cobwebs, they are made using a hot glue gun.
            Thanks for the comments.

How nice to have this collection of images. I presume this will not be a permanent exhibition?

Classic stuff John. Lucky you being able to just walk in and take photos of a "one off" event which is something very unique.
Your image quality is excellent. Well done.

They will look great and I'm sure they will have a common theme with your fellow villagers.
