  • Keukenhof 2026

Some shots from Keukenhof the Netherlands.
Keukenhof has been open for the past two months and as a local, I visit it regularly.
I will try to post some of them. Try, because I am not really used to this forum.

A view of one of the flower lanes in Keukenhof. A few weeks ago.

I am again a bit struggling with the posting as a result of which my IP got banned. Don’t have a clue which mistake I made. I wanted to post two images in one post. I guess that should be possible.

This is close to Keukenhof, in fact the raincloud is hanging over Keukenhof. You see some flower fields in front. Right now almost all fields have no flowers anymore.
I got a little wet before I could reach home.,

I would remove the barrier to see if I liked it more. Must be getting to the end of the tulip season. We could do with some of that rain Our grass is gone and Kangaroos are eating the roses and geraniums which shows a bit of desperation.

I have the picture also without the barrier, which is by the way used to prevent tourists stepping on the fields. Not that is helps, certain tourists still pass the barriers and walk in between the fields. The don't realise themselves that 1. this is private property, 2. it is a production field, it is not there for the tourists, 3. they can damage and spread diseases while walking through the fields.
Amazingly it are often people from India who ignore the fields. Most of the other tourists stay on the side.
Anyway, I felt that the picture was nicer with the barriers, as they tell a story. Without it looks a little dull.

Makes it even better if you have considered it.

Glad you found us again. Love the close up at 10.26 great composition. This made me go and put on some warmer clothes.

Very nice Caroline. The pink tulips close-up is my favourite here. Beautiful colour and tones.

                    This time some overview pictures.
They were taken about half of april, the moment that Keukenhof is at its most beautiful time.
You do not see many people on the pictures, but... in fact it is always very very busy with tourists.
It is that I go early in the morning at opening time, on my bike to Keukenhof. That is when there are still very few tourists/people, some regular locals only.
When I leave, rows are forming at the entrance and buses full of tourists are arriving.

So colourful. The overview shots could do with some additional depth of field, This could mean a tripod unless you are steady as a rock

They are all beautiful Caroline. I love good flora shots. I agree with Hans - f:8 would show more depth of field. It seems the Drag & Drop method for posting your images is working for you - well done.
